This marks the sixth year of the Finding the Most Beautiful and Filial Youth campaign in China. Zhao Yingxin, the general director of the awards ceremony, said that several departments and units participated in this year's campaign, including the Central Civilization Office, the Ministry of Education, the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the All-China Women's Federation.

At the age of 12, Wu Yuyang, who goes to a central elementary school in Haifeng town, Heilongjiang province, also became the "main pillar" of his family as his parents and grandparents lost the ability to work.

Gao Yiyuan, who was studying in Baotou No 6 Middle School in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, disinfects the house several times a day to help her mother, who suffers from leukemia, stay healthy.

Li Xiaoyan, a girl from Taoshan village, Sichuan province, carries her grandmother on her back, walking through the rugged mountain roads to the outside, just like what her grandma did for her when she was young.

Sisters from Henan province Chen Kunyang, 12, and Chen Zongyang, 14, spent three years "waking up" and teaching their mother, who lost her memories, to speak and read.

The girls and boys are not afraid of life's difficulties and explain the meaning of filial piety with their practices. With optimistic attitudes and tender shoulders, they carry the hopes of their families, and were applauded at the award ceremony.
