Zhang Juan, 45, a bus driver in the city of Zhengzhou, central China's Henan Province, has won praise from local passengers for her considerate service and serious attitude toward work.
Zhang begins her work at 6:30 a.m. every day and is off duty at around 9 p.m.
The thoughtful woman has made her private phone number known to passengers for the convenience of helping those in need. In addition, she also prepares umbrellas and a medical kit on the bus in case of bad weather or passengers having carsickness.
Wang Mei, a 55-year-old local resident, often takes Zhang's bus. She said, "Sometimes, I give her a call to ask what time the bus sets off."
Another passenger who comes from another city said she was greatly impressed by Zhang's kind assistance to elderly people along the way when she took the bus for the first time. "It was really nice. I have seldom met such a warm-hearted bus driver."
"Zhang shows a good attitude for passengers and treats them like her relatives. All senior people are fond of her. She has set an example for me," commented Zhang's colleague Dong Yunlong.
When speaking of what she has done for passengers, Zhang said with a smile, "I just want to make them feel comfortable and convenient."
