A woman surnamed Qian recently set up a bakery with her friends in Quzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, after quitting her stable State job — often referred to as an "iron bowl".

Qian studied accountancy in university and worked at the financial department of a State-own-enterprise (SOE).

However, her wish was always to be a cookie chef.

Ms. Qian said: "I never expected that it would be so hard to start a business. I always have to work until early morning. Though I'm tired, I'm happy from the bottom of my heart."

Her appealing, colorful and delicious desserts attract many consumers, who often line up outside. Her roaring trade has also made her a hit on the internet in China.
