Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Group of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, led a delegation to inspect progress in the work of women's development in central China's Hubei Province, on April 1-4.
The delegates visited women's federations at the community level and surveyed the implementation of the remarks President Xi Jinping made when he met with the new leadership of the ACWF last November.
In Wuhan's Qingheju Community, the delegates learned that the women's federation had organized a group of women volunteers to offer services in the neighborhood.
The women's federation of Liangyou Building hosts both online and offline activities to support the development of over 600 female employees.
In Huangshi City, the delegation visited the embroidery studio of Liu Xiaohong, a March 8th Red Banner Holder of the city and were briefed on how the artist helps promote women's employment and entrepreneurship with training.
At the studio, Huang called on women to learn and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, follow the guidance of the Party and contribute to celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
In Huangshi, Huang also inspected a mediation committee for marriage and family dispute, a school for migrant parents and a museum demonstrating traditional familial injunctions and disciplines in a local village.
Huang noted that each family and its domestic discipline are of great importance to the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation and required all women's federations to play a full role in connecting families and to study their new problems and demands. They should guide women and all people to love their families and the country and promote socialist core values in family settings.
During the four-day tour in Hubei, Huang hosted a meeting on the reform of county-level women's federations after inspecting a group of women's organizations, such as a Women’s Home founded by a science and business start-up park for returned overseas women and women entrepreneurs, a service center for left-behind women and a training school launched to help women shake off poverty.
At the meeting, Huang spoke highly of the achievements in the work of women and the reform of women's federations. She urged the federations at all levels to bring about more achievements by conducting in-depth studies, carrying out the spirit of the Xi's remarks and fulfilling their duties as women's mass organizations led by the Party.
Jiang Chaoliang, Secretary of the CPC Hubei Committee, Erkenjiang Tulahong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei Committee and head of the united front department of the provincial CPC committee, Peng Limin and Wang Bo, members of the Standing Committee of the ACWF, as well as Xie Ai'e and Hu Min, ACWF 's executive members, also attended the inspection tour.
