Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), recently inspected a kindergarten in Handan, north China's Hebei Province, and visited so-called “left-behind” children and their teachers.

Many such children have to spend all day in kindergartens since their parents moved to cities to work.

Shen delivered gifts to youngsters at the Central Kindergarten at Qiandamo Village of Weixian County in Handan, and wished them a happy Children's Day (June 1).

Shen attended the children's games, painting, reading and manual training classes.

She said she hoped children all across China could love the motherland, so they can contribute to the country in the future.

Meanwhile, Shen thanked the teachers for educating left-behind children and she said she hoped those teachers could further cultivate children's good moral qualities and teach them to help others.

Shen also guided teachers to spread garbage classification knowledge to improve the kindergarten's environmental protection education.

In addition, Shen proposed four suggestions for kindergarten teachers and women's federations at all levels.

First, women's federations at all levels should further implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and act according to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Second, teachers should guide children to form good moral senses and spread core socialist values among them.

Third, women's federations at all levels should motivate women all around the country to play an active part in poverty alleviation, rural revitalization and environmental protection.

Fourth, women's federations at all levels should carry out the Looking for the Most Beautiful Families campaigns and the Five-virtue Families cultivation activities as efforts to make further contributions in the new era.
