Cui Yu, part-time vice-president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), conducted research into female entrepreneurship in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, earlier this month.
Officials of women's federations from eight provinces and handicraft associations joined Cui on the mission.
The survey group visited several innovation-promoting industrial parks and creativity-fueled companies including Guangfu Crafts Town and Huaqiao Foreign Trade Town, among others.
Suzhou Women's Federation currently oversees an innovation park of nearly 3,000 square meters for female entrepreneurs to spur their development in different industries.
Aside from the park, a family-service incubator and a handicraft base have also recently been built.
The local women's federation hopes the special innovation park and two bases will further encourage technology business upgrades and spur creativity.
The survey group also communicated with local women face to face to learn about how innovation-related policies affect their lives.
