Shen Yueyue, president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) expressed sympathy on June 4 to female officials and local women who took part in flood relief on the front-line in central China's Hunan Province.

During a call with Jiang Xin, president of the Hunan Women's Federation, Shen spoke highly of the grassroots-level federations. She said they were playing an active role in flood relief, guiding the public to participate in disaster control work and presenting tenacity and courage under the leadership of local government and Party committees.

Learning through the ACWF's own Women Voice media outlet, Shen pointed to outstanding publicity work made by the provincial women's federation. After the disaster, officials immediately established a temporary communication site and effectively carried out work online.

By bringing together cooperation on multiple platforms, the site broadcasts 24-hour coverage from the female perspective, providing timely and accurate information related to the flood control and conveying positive energy.

Shen urged grassroots-level women's federations across Hunan to further conduct work on flood relief and post-disaster reconstruction. Also, officials should continue to publicize women's rescue deeds.

Importantly, all workers and soldiers on the anti-flood front-line should take care of themselves, Shen added.
