Yang Liu, member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), recently made a visit to southwest China's Sichuan Province to assess the results of local innovation, entrepreneurship and poverty alleviation efforts.

During an inspection tour in the capital Chengdu, Yang visited several demonstration bases including the V-girl Business Incubator, WorKING Art and Design Incubator and She Era Maker Space, learning details about their establishment and operations.

The team also visited Zhijian de Ai Lifestyle House and Chengdu Haonongren Organic Farm to learn about production, sales and management experiences.

After watching a demo of Chengdu Women's Federation's online platform to promote female entrepreneurship, Yang gave her approval of the organization's measures integrating entrepreneurs, projects and markets into one comprehensive system.

During the visit in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, the inspection group assessed the achievements of domestic women's flexible employment, entrepreneurship and poverty relief schemes.

At the premises of Jiajia Yi Ethnic Group Traditional Apparel Company, Yang spoke highly of the measures used to launch embroidery training sessions for some 240 rural women and provide them with in-home employment opportunities to increase their incomes.

Later, the group went to Puge County-based agricultural nurseries and livestock farms founded by female former-migrant workers and graduates who had returned to their hometown. They also went to Xichang City-based circular agricultural startup bases, further learning about how rural women had led villagers to escape poverty.

Yang said women's federations at every level in Sichuan have conscientiously carried forward the decisions and arrangements of the "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" campaign by the Central Committee of the Communist of China (CPC) and the State Council based on the current situation of the local economic development and of women's development demands.

In order to contribute to Sichuan's social and economic development, the organizations have actively taken steps to assist women in innovation and entrepreneurship as well as poverty alleviation by exploring multiple channels such as brand-building with related services.

Yang further urged officials to provide services and assistance in multiple ways including through capital, projects, technology and marketing and also to cultivate businesswomen's innovation awareness as well as entrepreneurial spirit, thereby enabling them to realize sustainable development in the future.

In addition, Yang pointed out the importance of promoting resource integration and interaction among various service platforms on the basis of satisfying women's personalized and diversified demands during early-stage startups.
