A string of new TV shows focused on Chinese culture have debuted or are being introduced to audiences this month, further spreading knowledge about this topic among viewers.

New Arrivals of the Palace Museum

New Arrivals of the Palace Museum is the first reality TV series to be filmed at the iconic Beijing attraction, bringing to life the museum and its staff.

In each episode, guest product developers will follow experts to investigate treasures and explore the history and culture of the site.

The guests will then cooperate with college students and top designers in producing an innovative crossover product.

The first episode will be broadcast on Beijing TV on October 26.

The Wonderful Read

The Wonderful Read, an updated version of Letters Alive, premiered on October 8.

The show features performances by famous actors such as Zhao Lixin, Wang Jinsong, Wang Luoyong and Pan Hong.

The performers will present scenes from different literary classics in each of the 12 episodes. They render plot conflicts, characters and the beautiful language of the books by means of dramatic recreations, readings, videos and pictures.

A Wonderful Read abandons the former academic approach in order to be closer to the public, promote reading and meet the needs of ordinary readers.

"Showing is more interesting than words. This is the fastest and most efficient reading process for performers and audiences," Zhao said.

Poetic China

Poetic China is a literary and intellectual TV show produced by SZTV (Shenzhen TV).

In each episode, guests will introduce a theme sharing their personal feelings with scenes from the life of ancient people.

Answering calls to "build the confidence of the Chinese nation", the program takes ordinary life as its carrier, musing on the origin of life and directly presenting the ideals of traditional culture.

It presents the unique lifestyle and philosophy of the Chinese people through closely related themes in each episode.

By watching the program, young people can understand the mystery of life by constructing the poetic world belonging to everyone, according to organizers.

Minor Scholars of Chinese Culture (Season 2)

Compared with the first season, the second season of Minor Scholars of Chinese Culture produced by Shandong TV has introduced many changes.

The game show focuses on testing contestants on their knowledge about the living and active use of Chinese cultural history.

The program combines sinology and competition and makes learning history more vivid.

The Legend of Designers

The Legend of Designers broadcast on Jiangsu TV is a cultural variety show focused on the charm and delicacy of cultural inheritance.

For the show, Chinese host Yang Lan has invited 12 guests to interview 12 top crafts experts and learn more about their stories of inheritance.

The audience can therefore imagine the difficulty of mastering skills.

The Beautiful Article (Season 2)

Since its inception, the second season of the Beautiful Article has presented 12 themes including "persistence", "vitality", "protection", "return", "guiding star" and "new life".
