Officials in Gucheng Community in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province recently opened free courses for local children, aiming to enrich their holiday time.

As part of the project, volunteers are offering a range of courses related to calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting opera and music, according to a spokesperson.
