Foundation Set Up in Beijing to Promote Female Entrepreneurship

Doterra Company in Shanghai made a donation to China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) on July 31 at an opening ceremony in Beijing, to promote female entrepreneurship.

Attendees included: Meng Xiaosi, member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), former vice-president and member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation and president of the CWDF; Qin Guoying, vice-president of the CWDF; and, Owen Messick, president of Doterra.

The two sides held talks during the event and Meng, on behalf of the CWDF, presented a donation certificate to Messick.

The donation will be used to start a foundation which plans to develop programs that support and guide women's entrepreneurship and promote services on caring for family and women's healthcare, according to officials.

The foundation will also launch related training sessions; provide motivation and support; and, assist impoverished families and individuals.
