Township-level women's federations in the city of Haining, east China's Zhejiang Province have implemented a rotating president scheme since last August, in an effort to improve grassroots officials' abilities and motivation.

So far, all 12 presidents of such federations in Haining have taken part in the new endeavor.

According to a directive, all presidents should complete at least one key task among the stated annual goals of the upper organization, and are responsible for holding related activities.

During a rotating presidency, local women's federations should demonstrate distinctive work projects in their towns, for example by innovating systems and institutions, running lectures, and organizing outstanding teams of women or specific projects.
