Under the organization of the Party Committee of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), all Party members of the Women's Studies Institute of China (WSIC) gathered to watch the opening ceremony of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which was held on October 18.
The WSIC staff members took notes carefully while listening to the report of up to 3.5 hours, which was delivered by Xi Jinping, titled "Secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era."
Liu Yamei, Party branch secretary of the WSIC, presided over a conference right after the ceremony, discussing the further arrangements for the implementation of the spirits of the national congress.
On the day, Liu also held a meeting to call on all Party members to thoroughly study and carry out the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress, promoting work with Xi's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.
A series of learnings and discussions were carried out among the WSIC Party groups after the meeting. Liu led members to talk freely about their learning experiences in combination with their own practice.
Participants agreed that the report of the 19th National Congress displayed the theoretical, practical and innovative results of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era under the leadership of the CPC central committee with Comrade Xi as its core, starting a new journey for the Party.
They added that the Party and government have achieved a series of fruitful results for the past five years under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, encouraging them to improve the level of women's studies in the new era.
The youth and retired Party members of the WSIC also expressed their learning feelings and experiences based on Xi's report to the congress.
In addition, the Party branch of the institute also issued a work plan for the Chinese Women's Research Society to carry out a series of learning activities so as to promote the implementation of spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress.
