The Provincial General Office of north China's Shanxi recently released its latest reform plans for Shanxi Women's Federation, which include novel working methods to take advantage of the Internet Plus era.
According to the plan, the women's federation will further improve its staff leadership diversity, systems and structure; and, optimize the functions of related departments.
Meanwhile, the organization will intensify the universality and representativeness of its Women's Representative Committee, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee.
In order to develop a working team compromising of full-time officials as its core, and temporary and part-timers as the major support, the federation will also reform the structures of other institutions directly affiliated to the federation, improve management methods, reduce the current staff levels and absorb outstanding talents from multiple sectors.
In addition, by utilizing new media platforms and other practical methods, the plan requires Shanxi Women's federation to strengthen and implement a long-term mechanism on reporting and research, and to build closer contacts with grassroots women, to have a better understanding of women's conditions and public opinion and provide them with better services.
The plan also stressed that the provincial women's federation should improve officials' motivation to better serve the people in an innovative way.
Specifically, officials will reinforce training, publicity and guidance on female entrepreneurship and innovation, call for brands to promote e-commerce training programs for women, such as a housekeeping service brand called Jinsao and a handicraft brand called Sanjin Qiaojie.
Focusing on its work for households, the federation should appeal to more to actively participate in activities on family civilization construction. As a provincial family education guidance center, the organization should vigorously establish its service network with full coverage in Shanxi.
Furthermore, Shanxi Women's Federation will build its own digital Women's Home platform to start the innovative 'Internet Plus' work model and complete their operation method on the base of grassroots women highlighting their high rates of participation, satisfaction and number of people benefited.
The federation also plans to entrust third parties to develop a related performance assessment, enabling more women to know about the achievements of the women's federation's reform and gain a sense of well-being.
