For the first time, an innovative Chinese women's news program has been on trial broadcast since January 25.
Producers of the event, who hail from China Women's University and Women Voice, the media outlet of All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), report that the program is actually ahead of its initial release day of March 8.
"We are inspired by relevant women's news that happened during the Spring Festival travel rush, which is widely believed to be the largest human migration in the world. Therefore, we hope this program can share their stories whilst getting closer to women audiences," a producer explained.
During the broadcast, a journalist asks several women about what they would like to say to their parents upon arrival and what food they most miss from home.
Interviewees include moms and their children, female students, migrant couples who have already started their journey back home and even some female employees who chose to stay in Beijing. All wish for a safe journey back home and family happiness during the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year.
"Even though we producers are not as experienced as those senior ones in other live programs, we believe it is female interviewees that really matter in the news," says a producer.
