Women's federation officials from across the country received much positive feedback after the 6th plenary session of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee wrapped up on October 27.

During the four-day meeting, senior figures called on all Party members to "closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core," and fully implement the ideas laid out in Xi's keynote speeches at the rally.

Meanwhile, major Party members are expected to cement the CPC's determination in enforcing strict Party governance, and to mark further milestones in the ongoing anti-corruption campaign, said officials.

"Party governance has entered a new age — to govern the Party by rigorous rules and regulations," said Wu Hui, a professor at the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC.

From the CPC Central Committee's 3rd plenary session to the current 6th session, the Party has highlighted distinct themes, with reference to realizing the "Chinese Dream" of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, commented Wu.

Officials at all levels were further urged to promote the enforcement of a strategic blueprint of the "Four Comprehensives" – namely, a moderately prosperous society, reform, the rule of law and Party discipline – put forward by Xi, Wu added.

At the session, officials attached great importance to the strict governance of the CPC, which has entered a new era as leaders approved two documents on discipline. These measures include specifications on the "norms of political life within the Party under the new situation," and a regulation on "intra-Party supervision," according to a communiqué released after the meeting.

The CPC Central Committee also aimed to further unite and lead people of all ethnic groups to forge ahead with firm confidence, safeguard social harmony and stability, and continuously open up new prospects for socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Feedback from Women's Federation Officials

Respecting President Xi as the core of the Party leadership reflects the common aspirations of people across China, encouraging us to "stay true to the mission," said Zhang Hao, an official from the township of Liushi, east China's Zhejiang Province.

"Core leadership is crucial to both the country and the Party leadership. Under President Xi's core leadership, we are ambitious in advancing the Four Comprehensives," said Wang Xuejing, an auditing bureau official from the city of Hohhot, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

"Our Party members should act consistently with the CPC Central Committee, as it is the strong guarantee to govern the country that leads us to achieve the goal of building a well-off society," commented Xia Zhongqiong, a Party secretary in the village of Zhongfeng, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

"As a Party member, I should fulfill my job responsibility in serving people, because the membership associates with not only the Party image, but also indicates the connections with the people," pointed out Su Qian, director of the village of Cizhu in Chongqing.

"We Party members sincerely give full support to the CPC Central Committee under the core leadership of President Xi," stressed Ai Meihua, president of Yingtan Women's Federation, southeast China's Jiangxi Province.

"The meeting requires all Party members to be strict in following the disciplines of the CPC," said Zhuang Canxia, president of Quanzhou Women's Federation, southeast China's Fujian Province. "The enhanced leadership will increase people's trust, confidence and satisfaction with the Party and the government."

"Pushing forward the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party is one of the CPC's achievements. All Party members should contribute their efforts in the building of a harmonious society," noted Zhuo Changli, chief manager in a domestic service corporation in the city of Jinan, east China's Shandong Province. Zhuo also serves as a member of the executive committee of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF).

"Grassroots officials are encouraged to strengthen their connections with the people," said Zhang Chenyu, a leader in a border defense troop from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

In addition, northwest China's Gansu Women's Federation held a meeting on October 28, calling on officials to study the spirits of the 6th plenary session, bring better services to women, and continuously dedicate themselves to poverty-alleviation campaigns across the province.
