A non-profit professional training program for Chinese music teachers kicked off in Beijing recently.

The program, titled "Music Creates Happiness," invites musicians and educators from Yale University, Tsinghua University and China Conservatory of Music to provide free training to 180 school principals and music teachers from less developed regions.

It is sponsored by the Beidou Stars Love Fund under the China Population Welfare Foundation and Beijing Well-Being Foundation.

The training aims to promote the expertise of music teachers and make their students gain happiness through enjoying the arts.
