CWU Attends Theatrical Performance to Celebrate CPC Founding Anniversary

A theatrical performance, The Great Banner, was staged in the concert hall of the China National Traditional Orchestra (CNTO) on July 1 to celebrate of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

It was presented by the CNTO, China Women's University (CWU), Beijing Union University (BUU) and the working committee and the subdistrict office of the Datun Residential Community in Beijing.

At the beginning of the performance, all the Party members reviewed the admission oath to further strengthen their conviction and commitment to the Party and the People.

Using traditional musical instruments like pipa, erhu and Chinese dulcimer, the folk music artists performed famous patriotic songs such as Azalea, My Motherland and Sing a Folk Song for the Party to Hear, to commemorate the anniversary while showcasing the charm of Chinese traditional musical culture. The performances drew a burst of applause from the audience.

Members from other universities and organizations gave performances as well. Duan Boyi, composer and teacher of the School of Children's Development and Education under the CWU, together with CWU's Red Sail Choir, dedicated the song The Light Chaser to show their love for the Party.

The dance society from BUU performed a classical Chinese dance Caiwei with choreography based on the Classic of Poetry. Cultural officers and people from Datun Residential Community recited the poem Long Live Our Motherland to arouse Party spirits in the New Era.

The commitment to the Party and the love for the country is deeply rooted in every Party member's heart, encouraging them to stay true to their mission and be ready to overcome the challenges along the path towards the Party's future prosperity.
