This year's first Student Work Conference was held by the Student Work Department and the Youth League Committee at the third conference room of the Jiaotu Building on March 6.

Ren Cuiru, deputy secretary of the school's Party Committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by Zheng Lei, deputy director of the Student Affairs Department and the secretary of the Youth League Committee.

The secondary academies and related functional departments respectively reported the student work of the past winter holiday and the work in the new semester.

Academies keep track of the ideological status of returning students by conferences, interviews, and dormitory visits. In addition, they paid special attention to key students and special groups, learned about the academic development situation, carried out volunteer service and gave proper career guidance.

Relevant functional departments reported their work in terms of students' returns, teaching inspections, enrollment, employment, security and other matters.

Ren affirmed the hard work of all the departments in the past. She said that arranging school activities for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China is the main task this year.

The teachers should continuously pay attention to safety education and campus security, and focus on poor students and special groups with academic difficulties or psychological problems.

The Student Work Department and the Youth League Committee fully collected opinions from all the participants on the work of 2019, and gave feedback on the student assistant's work of the last semester.
