More than 200 students and faculty members from China Women's University attended the meeting in honor of the International Women's Day and the ceremony held in parallel to present awards to female role models at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 6.

Twelve students from the school's Etiquette Society served the award-presenting ceremony.

Impressed and encouraged by the achievements made by the award winners, attendees of the event showed tremendous respect to the chosen female role models, for their resolute faith in the Communist Party of China, their enduring love of the motherland, their noble and unyielding spirit, their constant devotion to their career and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Students expressed their resolution of improving themselves by working hard so as to be well prepared for the 70th anniversary of the founding of both the country and the university.

The meeting was hosted by the All-China Women's Federation. Sun Chunlan, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, delivered a speech.

Sun said she hoped women would strengthen their ideal and faith, develop solid skills, carry forward traditional virtues and contribute to a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Representatives of the award winners also delivered inspiring presentations.
