CWU Library Convenes Meeting to Report Annual Work

On November 26, the 13th Library Working Committee of China Women's University (CWU) held a meeting to sum up the progress of its work this year.

Liu Meng, director of the CWU Library Working Committee and vice-president of the university, and other members of the committee attended the gathering.

Shao Juan, deputy chief-librarian, presented a work report to attendees at the conference. She talked about the innovative efforts made by the library to improve its collections, provide readers with better services, promote reading amongst students, and upgrade relevant facilities.

Shao also gave an introduction to the academic progress and influences achieved by China Women's Library and the latest developments of the library at the CWU campus at Huijia School, and responded to the proposals and views made by the 12th working committee.

Meanwhile, the Department of Information Counseling spoke about the building and operation of mobile services platforms and instructed members of the working committees about how to use them.

For its part, the working committee lauded the achievements made by the library and put forward proposals to further improve the library's work in the future.

Addressing the gathering, Liu highly commended the library's work and highlighted its important roles in academic research for faculty staff, students' growth, talent cultivation, and the creation of disciplinary features.

She urged members of the working committee to help readers make a full use of the library's resources in a move to facilitate the development of the university's academic research and management services.

After the gathering, participants toured around the library.
