CWU Concludes 5th Top 10 Singers Competition

The Communist Youth League Committee and Art Troupe at China Women's University (CWU) jointly held the final event of its fifth Top 10 Singers Competition on November 27.

After a two-month preliminary selection, 15 contestants from over 500 people entered into the final competition.

Organizers invited music teachers and the top three medalists from the last competition at the university to act as judges for the final event.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Chen Lijun, deputy-director of the CWU Student Affairs Office, called on competitors to demonstrate their artistic talents and best images.

Finally, Zhang Xin, a student from the School of Child Development and Education, won first place.

Meanwhile, the silver and bronze medals went to Zhuang Qinmei from the School of Business Management and Chen Shufei and He Xiaowen from the School of Cultural Communication.

Moreover, Zhang Yuyao claimed the title of the most popular contestant.

According to organizers, the university's art troupe has been dedicated to the exploration of students' artistic potential and the cultivation of positive campus culture.
