CWU Delegation Visits Chaoyang Media Convergence Center

On November 12, Liu Liqun, president of China Women's University (CWU), headed a delegation to visit a media convergence center in the district of Chaoyang in Beijing and learn more about its operation.

Pan Jing, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Chaoyang District Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Party chief and director of Chaoyang Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, talked with the CWU delegation about the media convergence center's development, management, functions, performance-assessment and other aspects.

Chen Jing, chief-editor from Chaoyang Radio, TV and Press Center, explained the operation model of the media convergence center and demonstrated its working procedures to the delegation.

For her part, Liu highly commended the media convergence center for its achievements since its establishment this June, exchanged views with Pan about the center's operation and measures to further boost its communication effects, and expressed willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the cultivation of talented personnel and the building of relevant platforms in the future.

Those who took part in the inspection tour included Zhao Hao, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the CWU; heads of the Department of Publicity, the Modern Education Technology Center, the School of Journalism and Communication, the School of Art and Design, and the Department of Computers; and teacher representatives.
