Since Xi'an Peihua University was assigned the task of hosting the symposium in November 2016, the council, relevant Party and administrative leaders of the university have paid special attention to this event.

On the basis of their discussions, they set up a team in charge of the preparation for this symposium. Meanwhile they also actively communicated with the secretariat and members of the consortium to confirm the symposium's important details such as the theme and timings. With these efforts, they laid a solid foundation for the organization of the symposium.

At the meeting, the theses chosen by the symposium were submitted for examination and review. A Study on Female University Graduates' Business Models Based on Course Teaching: The Success of Beijing Jiuyao Cultural Development Co., Ltd. in Entrepreneurship, a thesis jointly completed by Yu Guangjun and Zhou Zhihui, was awarded first prize. Yu is an associate professor and Zhou serves as Party secretary of the Department of Women's Studies at CWU. The thesis was included in the Journal of Innovation and Enterprise Education and is soon to be published.

Liu said that under the instruction of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the National Education Conference, each member university of the consortium has made remarkable progress in talent training, scientific research, social service and internationalization.

She called on consortium members to further explore distinctive ways of developing women's universities and training women talents so as to attract more members, diversify its activities, distinguish its features and strengths and expand cooperation and exchanges.

Information, experience and ideas were also shared at the meeting, which enabled the consortium to give full play to its role as a link.

Liu praised Xi'an Peihua University for its long history, unique mission and responsibility in education and long-lasting tradition of women's education. Meanwhile, she wished the university a brighter future.
