A delegation of 38 model teachers from China Women's University (CWU) attended a training session in Dabieshan Executive Leadership Academy (DELA), in central China's Henan Province, on July 9-12.

The four-day training seminar was organized by the CWU Trade Unions, with the assistance of the Faculty Development Center in the Teaching Affairs Office and the Publicity Department of the CWU Party Committee to further strengthen the working morale and ethics of its teaching staff and help them become closely involved in social practice.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on July 9, CWU Vice-President Wang Jingxia emphasized that trainees should cherish the valuable opportunity of studying there, work hard in the completion of assigned tasks, and observe various disciplines as well as rules.

Shortly afterwards, Li Jiguang, a professor from the DELA, lectured participants on the revolutionary history of Dabieshan and the main contents of relevant spirits.

On July 10, the delegation paid a visit to former revolutionary sites and memorial halls there and learned the inspiring life stories of revolutionary forefathers, including Deng Yingchao, the wife of Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai.

On the next day, they walked along former bumpy roads used by the military forces led by the Communist Party of China during the revolutionary period, presented flowers to a monument in memory of the martyrs, visited the former residence of General Xu Shiyou, and listened to a lecture on the family traditions as well as stories of Xu.

On the morning of the last day of their stay in DELA, the delegation spoke with Huang Deyue, an offspring of martyrs, about his family's contributions and sacrifices in the revolutionary period.

Moreover, locals also presented their themed artistic performance to the delegation.
