CWU Party School Concludes Regular Training Seminar

The amateur Party School at China Women's University (CWU) held a ceremony on the afternoon of June 12 to mark the conclusion of its 60th training seminar, a high-level class for applicants of Party membership.

The closing ceremony was chaired by Fu Rao, deputy secretary of the Party Branch in the Department of Foreign Languages. It drew the attendance of Ren Cuiru, deputy secretary of the CWU Party Committee and secretary of the CWU Commission for Discipline Inspection; Zhang Qi, deputy secretary of the Party Branch in the Department of Computer Sciences; and counselors for Party-building affairs in other departments and schools.

Student representatives from 13 different schools and departments shared what they had learnt and their experiences in the study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

They said that the training event had helped them have a deeper understanding of their personal aspirations to join the Party, and further consolidated their faith and determination to become a Party member.

They pledged that they would tie the realization of personal values closely to the destiny of the Party and the country and aspire to become youths with ideals, ability, and a strong sense of responsibility in the future.

After this, organizers presented awards to 44 trainees for their outstanding performance during the event.

According to the Party School, the training session drew the participation of 248 candidate Party members who listened to a lecture by Li Mingshun, secretary of the CWU Party Committee; two professors from the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC); and two winners of the National March 8th Pacesetter Titles.

Moreover, participants were also organized to hold group discussions and visit the Research Institute of Culture and History affiliated to the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
