 September 13, 2016

China Women's University (CWU) recently held an opening ceremony for its new postgraduate students. CWU president Liu Liqun, leaders from the Graduate Office, masters' supervisors, and relevant officials from different schools and departments participated in the event, which was presided over by vice-president Liu Meng.

On behalf of all the senior staff, Liu Liqun warmly welcomed the freshmen, and made a keynote speech. She introduced the newcomers to the university's development history and the developing process of CWU's postgraduate education. She said she hoped that they could study hard and improve their own capacity for scientific research, practice and innovation.

Afterward, several teacher representatives shared their experiences of life on campus, and analyzed the relationships between specialisms and employment directions, as well as theory and practice.

Later, a freshman representative read out a statement saying that they would observe the academic norms while undertaking academic research activities. Meanwhile, the leaders presented students with the school badges. The event came to an end with a group recital of the CWU school song.
