The School of Higher Vocational Education at China Women's University (CWU) recently held a graduation ceremony for students.

Directors from the functional departments, and all the teaching staff in the higher vocational education school participated in the event, which was presided over by Ding Xinya, vice-dean and secretary of the school's general Party branch.

Dean of the School of Higher Vocational Education, Sun Jianbei summarized the achievements made in 2015, and gave a keynote speech. Some 546 graduates received their diplomas at the ceremony.

Teacher and student representatives gave speeches, and wished the graduates a better future. The director of the CWU's Student Affairs Office spoke about the university's latest recognition decision on its outstanding graduates. The director of the Executive Office announced the establishment of the 2016 alumni association.

CWU vice-president Wang Lian gave a speech titled "Looking Forward to the Future, Starting a New Journey", highlighting the characteristics of the higher vocational school. Wang hoped that the graduates could keep their feet on the ground, develop themselves into a life-long learner, hold to their dreams and never give up.

The road ahead will be long and our climb will be steep, said the senior staff. The graduates should uphold CWU's motto, improve their consciousness of social service, and achieve self-worth, organizers said.
