Liu Meng, vice-president of China Women's University (CWU), accompanied by director of the CWU Graduate Office, visited Shenzhen Women's Federation (SWF) on March 17.

Ma Hong, SWF President; Yang Hua, director from the SWF Children's and Family's Affairs Office; and, Meng Hong, secretary of Shenzhen Women's Social Organization, warmly welcomed the CWU delegates, and held a symposium in promoting the postgraduates' cultivation of social work.

Liu expressed her heartfelt thanks to SWF for its strong support and assistance to CWU's talent cultivation, especially the pilot project application for the Master of Social Work (MSW) qualification. Liu outlined the development of a pilot project for MSW for the project's acceptance and assessment in 2017.

Liu laid out specific thoughts in deepening cultivation and establishing a cooperative platform. She hoped to study women's social work in-depth in different ways.

Ma thanked CWU's trust and affirmation, and said that their cooperation not only promotes CWU postgraduates' education in social work, but also speeds-up SWF's development in women's social work. Ma affirmed the win-win situation, responded to CWU's deeper cooperation proposal, and arranged the specific work.

Liu also attended a forum themed on "Public Undertakings for Women and Children", which was hosted by SWF on March 18. During the event, Liu delivered a speech named "Several Suggestions on Localization and Internationalization of Women's Social Work."

The seminar paved the way for further cooperation, and laid some solid foundations for the innovation of the joint education model, as well as the assessment of professional master's pilot project.
