CWU Holds Psychological Counseling Training Course

In order to further improve the professional skills of psychology councilors, and strengthen their abilities in dealing with students' psychological problems, the Psychological Diathesis Development Center of Student Affairs Office launched a five-day training course for workers at the main building of China Women's University (CWU).

The training content included lesson on dynamic group experiences and how they can be applied in counseling, and researches on psychological counseling, from the perspective of family.

During the five-day training, participants systematically studied the group counseling, and experienced its overall process of starting, exploring, working, and finishing. They also further rethought and recognized the relationship between individuals and family. The perspective deepened students' understanding and broadened the research field for student affairs, said officials.

The training was a meaningful exploration and practice for psychological health education. Trainees included administrators of student affairs, professional and part-time psychologists, secretaries of general party branches from different departments and schools, counselors, and interested teachers.

The event provided a platform for student affairs officers to communicate, work together, and grow together, participants agreed.
