CWU Student Affairs Office Visit Our Students Enlisted in the Army

 September 8, 2015

During this summer vacation, nine visiting groups which were organized by the CWU Student Affairs Office (SAO) comprised of  secretaries from the  Party General Branch of related departments, members of the CWU Defense Education Committee (DEC), and various counselors visited 13 students who joined the army. As members of the army, navy, air force and other armed services, these students were distributed throughout Jilin, Guangdong, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, Yunnan and other provinces. They served in communications, meteorology, publicity, hygiene and other areas.

The army leaders spoke highly of CWU's visits and quality cultivation program, saying that the students are active and optimistic, possessing the virtues of self-discipline, honesty, cultural cultivation and adroitness. Thanks to their cultural advantages as university students, they had made great achievements in the positions they held. Enlisted students expressed gratitude for the education, concern, and training that the CWU provided. The students said they would live up to the expectations of the school, work hard and train diligently in the army.

A total of 128 students have joined the army since 2005. In order to do a better job of conscription on campus, the SAO has formulated several measures and polices in 2015 under the guidance of the DEC,, including summer visits, scholarships for ex-service students, and implementation of preferential policies.
