Chinese Writer Chang Yan Releases Her New Book in Beijing

Chang Yan, a Chinese writer, released her new book Yan's Journey of the Heart in Beijing on August 7.

Previously a dancer, Chang later became the first Chinese female hostess in Austria. She creatively organized many high-end cultural exchange activities.

Chang was once invited to be a guest producer of the US Fortune Global Forum. She also led workers to transform an abandoned boiler room and garbage dump into an international art space with Nordic style, which was described as "the most beautiful home in the world" by an international home-design magazine.

Yan's Journey of the Heart records the life span of Chang while travelling in different parts of the earth. She tries to tell the world through her book that no matter what will happen, benevolence and beauty will always be the spiritual power of human beings.

At the press conference, guests from home and abroad gathered together to celebrate the releasing of the new book. Li Hongqiang, director of the Office Department of China Publishing Group Corporation, Zhang Gaoli, president of China Translation & Publishing Corporation (CTPC), He Zhipu, a well-known Chinese calligrapher and painter, and Wang Hongqi, women's literature critic and director of the China Female Culture Research Center of Capital Normal University, participated in the conference.

During the release conference, readers shared their impressions of the book. Later, Chang and the guests jointly launched the Chang Yan National Reading Club, hoping to attract people to love books through reading.
