China is to set up a batch of demonstration zones for the protection and use of cultural heritage resources, according to the National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA). The areas should have set examples of effectively protecting and using cultural heritage resources, as well as promoting high-quality economic and social development, the agency said in a notice.
Efforts should be made to sort out traditional cultural resources and bring back to life relics sleeping in closed palaces, legacies of the vast land of China and records in ancient books.
