Beijing Museum Celebrates 90th Anniv. of PLA's Founding

The National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) in Beijing recently opened an exhibition to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army.

The exhibit, also known as the 13th Whole Army Arts Exhibition, ran until August 9.

It features more than 500 traditional paintings, oil paintings, watercolors, sculptures, illustrations and works in new media, selected from over 7,000 submissions.

Many of artworks depict the army's changing role during China's revolution, and development. Some works show the major events and campaigns in its history.
