The "Silk Road and Russian Ethnic Cultural Heritage" exhibition was officially wrapped up at the National Museum of China (NMC) in Beijing on October 7.

Jointly launched by the NMC and Russian Museum of Ethnography on July 1, the exhibition displayed 594 items, which ranged from traditional clothing to various handicrafts, horse riding equipment and carriages, to help the Chinese learn more about the lives of Russian people living in southern regions of the country in the 19th and 20th centuries.

It also gave visitors an opportunity to closely experience the Silk Road's influences upon social and economic growth in southern Russian. The Silk Road used to be a key channel for the East, especially China, and the West to exchange goods and thoughts thousands of years ago.

All of the exhibited items were provided by the Russian Museum of Ethnography.
