China's outstanding female entrepreneurs emphasized innovative businesses to embrace the arriving inclusive growth put forward at the Business 20 (B20) summit. The event was held on August 3 in the city of Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, prior to its main G20 summit.

Among numerous representatives from business and industrial circles, Wang Shutong was elected as the co-chairperson of the Working Group on the Development of Small and Medium-size Enterprises (SME). The successful businesswoman is the founder and CEO of DHgate.com, an e-commerce online platform for SMEs to operate international trading.

Other significant female entrepreneurs at the summit included Dong Mingzhu, president of Gree Electric Appliances Inc., which is renowned as the world's largest residential air-conditioner manufacturer and one of China's major appliances manufacturer; Sun Yiping, CEO of Mengniu, a giant in China's dairy industry; Chen Ailian, director of the board of Wanfeng Auto Holding Group, a large-scale private joint stock industrial enterprise; and Qu Bing, vice-president of Qihoo 360, a Chinese internet company.

All these illustrious female figures shared their opinions at the summit.

Dong Mingzhu: Innovation Should Be the Responsibility of Corporations

Dong was named a "Woman in the Mix" for business by Forbes Asia in 2013 and was described as "one of the toughest businesswomen in China" by The New York Times.

The ambitious businesswoman noted that innovative spirits should be part of the responsibilities of corporations. Furthermore, Chinese enterprises should be aware of such accountability in manufacturing more and better products, benefiting not only the country, but also the whole world. In this way, it is important to show the world that "Made in China" products are of good quality, said Dong.

"People who dare to change themselves could have the courage to change the world, thus benefiting our common future," added the female entrepreneur.

Sun Yiping: Those Who Have the Abilities of Innovation and Reform Can Achieve Success

Sun believed that this summit gave Chinese enterprises an opportunity to see change in a more globalized way, facilitating the exchanges of worldwide resources.

Chinese corporations should develop their sustainable potentials and foster long-term goals in the global market, stressed Sun.

Sun also pointed out that enterprises should allocate resources to meet the ever-growing challenges in the current era of globalization, especially on concerns of technology, resources and talented people.

From the point of view of China's strategic initiative of "The Belt and Road", the country has kept advocating the developing principle of "mutual prosperity" in business and industrial circles, stated Sun.

The dairy boss also claimed that the dairy industry is one of the most crucial parts of China's agricultural economics, and China is also the biggest growing market of such products internationally.

From now on, Mengniu will push forward in their innovation, enhancing the corporation's sustainable abilities, and thus sticking to the principle that quality always comes first, said Sun. Hopefully, Mengniu will build its brand as an international company with distinctive Chinese characteristics.

Wang Shutong: Make Endeavors to Sustain SMEs in the Global Market

The B20 working committee leader introduced that there are two major issues during their group talks. One is to sustain SMEs in the global market, with better allocated advantageous recourse and expanded cross-border trades on the platform. The other is to encourage SMEs to uncover new approaches to investment through innovative online financing.

Wang also said there is no border for digital and online innovations among SMEs. Also, these advanced concepts have provided golden opportunities for SMEs in developing countries to achieve further success in business. Wang also claimed that there are already some cases of success in China, setting role models for the whole industry.

Moreover, Wang pointed out that even though China currently faces many challenges in shifting its focus on structure and upgrading economics, a majority of entrepreneurs still have faith in the reforms.

"On one side, we have witnessed the vigor among companies brought out by economic growth; on the other side, China will make a difference during its efforts to fit into the global market with related regulations and principles," said Wang.

Chen Ailian: We Have Entered a New Era for World Economic Recovery

Chen said she was impressed by President Xi Jinping's remarks at the B20 summit. Chen recalled that Chinese enterprises have implemented innovation-driven strategies in the fast-growing world economic market. These efforts have further highlighted new approaches to boost China's economic growth, depicting the new blueprint for the country with the "Reform and Opening-up" policy.

Inclusive growth will also be a possible "prescription" for the world economy, said Chen.

As a representative from the business circle, Chen said she was inspired by the innovative developing approaches for the world economy, and expected to encourage more corporations to closely follow the State policy of the "Belt and the Road".

The female entrepreneur ensured that, as a Zhejiang-based company in the host province, her Wanfeng Group will continue contributing its wisdom and power to join efforts to accelerate international mergers and acquisition, further achieving the integration of industrial capital and financial capital benefiting the whole global market.

Qu Bing: We Have Strengthened Confidence in the Implementation of Structural Reforms

Qu reiterated the illustration for both China and world economic growth at the next stage.

As a representative from the online circle, Qu said the summit has targeted current issues, such as global economic slowdown, trade protectionism and the economic globalization process.

Besides, Qu also stated that she has gone through the rapid development of online technology and applications in the era of globalization.

She had faith for the structural reforms carried out in the country and believed that we would definitely encounter a better future.
