Jiangbei Women's Federation, in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, held a conference on September 17 at the Chongqing Women's Park to discuss the problems that hindered the implementation of the federation's two projects.

In recent years, the women's federations, at the grassroots-level in Jiangbei, have organized various activities to promote implementation of the projects. The federation's presidents and key members have been meeting every six months, to discuss how to promote implementation of the projects.

During the most recent meeting, cadres with the federations discussed how to solve the difficulties in their work while they implemented the projects.

"The Mothers' Classroom Project was well received by many residents. Some of them said they hoped the federation could provide courses to elders, to help them improve their health and cooking skills," said a cadre with Fusheng (a town in Jiangbei) Women's Federation.

Wang Qili, president of Dashiba Street's Women's Federation, said the federation would encourage the local residential zones' house owners' committees, property management departments and other organizations to publicize information about the projects among the residents.

Participants offered more than 20 suggestions, while they discussed the members, forms, places and applicability of Party activities. Cadres with JWF gave responses to the problems during the meeting.

First, the cadres said they would popularize the federation's women-related work and activities through new media platforms, such as WeChat and QQ, so more residents would participate in the activities.

Second, the cadres said they would arrange for the newly elected presidents of women's federations, at all levels in Jiangbei, to attend training courses and activities, so they could improve their work ability.

Third, the cadres would adjust lectures according to feedback from the residents, and invite more experienced lecturers to provide better courses. "We would like to help local federations solve problems in their work and cooperate with them to create better work mechanisms," JWF President Du Yurong said during the event.
