An event to advance women's coordinated development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was launched in Guangzhou, in South China's Guangdong Province, on November 26, 2020. The event, with the theme "Sisters Hand in Hand, Build a Wonderful Home in GBA," was hosted by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) in collaboration with Guangdong Women's Federation and Guangzhou Women's Federation. Xia Jie, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, attended and delivered a speech.

During the ceremony, Guangdong Women's Federation, the ACWF Hong Kong Delegates Association Limited and the Women's General Association of Macao released a proposal which called on women and families in GBA to make efforts together to build their "big home" and take part in coordinated development with their home country.

Guangdong Women's Federation reached an agreement with women's organizations in the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao to set the framework for women's coordinated development in GBA. The federation also announced launching of a GBA women talents' project in innovation and entrepreneurship and an online-service platform to advance women's development in innovation and entrepreneurship. Following the ceremony, a workshop entitled "GBA Makes Families More Beautiful" was held.
