Protecting Girls' Safety, Legal Rights, Interests

 February 15, 2020

To create an environment that fosters children's healthy growth and development, Zhuzhou Women's Federation, Zhuzhou Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital and Taiyanggong Kindergarten (in Zhuzhou, a city in Central China's Hunan Province) recently implemented a project to strengthen protection of girls' safety and their legal rights and interests. The ceremony to launch the project was held in Zhuzhou.

Volunteers taught girls how to take care of their reproductive organs, and gave lectures (to parents and children) on protecting girls' safety. The parents and children read (on the boards displayed by the organizers) information about protecting girls against sexual assault. Inspired by the volunteers, many parents began advocating the importance of protecting girls' safety.

Organizers said they hoped more workers with social organizations and kindhearted people will promote the development of the welfare undertakings on children's care and protection, improving children's sex education and helping parents improve their ability to teach their daughters how to protect themselves against sexual assault.
