Chinese duo Wang Jie and Tian Jia have won the bronze medal at the women's Beach Volley Tour in Gstaad, Switzerland.

The pair shared the 22,100-US-dollar third-place prize by defeating compatriots Xue Chen and Zhang Xi 21-19 and 21-14 in 45 minutes.

Xue and Zhang, who left the Alps tournament with 17,000 US dollars for fourth place, had previously defeated their Chinese rivals last month in the Shanghai finals.

The women's gold medal went to Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh of the United States.

The top seeds triumphed over second-seeded Brazilians Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca 21-17 and 21-17 to capture the title.
