A women's project named "Give Women a Non-violent Future" was jointly launched by Beijing Yuanzhong Gender Development Center and Changsha Women's Federation in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province on July 10.

In 2013, Changsha implemented a women's project titled "Joint Efforts to Distinguish and Prevent Domestic Violence." This project has raised people's gender awareness, cultivated a number of talents, established a mechanism of joint efforts by relevant government departments to fight domestic violence and has ensured women's human rights and interests.

Since this project has achieved great success, Changsha launched another women's project "Give Women a Non-violent Future".

In recent years, Changsha has made great achievements in taking measures to fight domestic violence. Changsha is the first municipality in China to formulate and adopt a model file of preventing and prohibiting domestic violence and is the first municipality to implement the "Zero Domestic Violence Community" project.
