A new born baby girl passed away after being rejected from boarding a plane by an airline company in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province on May 6.

This baby was born on May 1. Immediately after her birth, she was diagnosed with pneumonia  so she was kept in the intensive care unit. Since the hospital was unable to operate on the baby, her father Wang Baogui decided to send her to Nanjing, capital city of east China's Jiangsu Province for the operation. However, at Shuangliu Airport in Chengdu, the baby was not allowed to board the plane. The airline company told Wang, according to airline company regulations, new born babies should not be allowed to board plane within 14 days after birth.

With no means, Wang sent the baby girl to a local hospital for emergency treatment. At 11pm on May 6, the baby girl passed away.
