Chinese, Foreign Filmmakers Attend Sino-Foreign Film Forum

The Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on April 21, 2013, during the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival.

Just before the forum, the China Film Corporation Limited and Europa Corporation signed an agreement to invite French filmmaker Jean Jacques Annaud to produce an epic Chinese movie titled Wolf Totem.

Deputy Head of the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Zhang Pimin, Deputy Mayor of the Beijing Municipal People's Government Lu Wei, President of the Central Newsreel & Documentary Film Studio Han Sanping and other guests attended the signing ceremony.

At the forum, French filmmaker and producer Luc Besson, American-Canadian actor and filmmaker Keanu Reeves, President of the 20th Century Fox Film Corporation Paul Hahnemann, Hong Kong filmmaker Peter Ho-Sun Chan, Director-general of the Film Bureau under the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Zhang Hongsen, Executive Director of Beijing Galloping Horse Film & TV Production Corporation Ivy Zhong and other celebrities shared their filmmaking experiences.

Besson, Chan and Reeves also made autographed clay handprints at the ceremony, which will be kept as important records of the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival at the China National Film Museum.

Alongside the forum, the China Film Co-production Corporation also organized a film trade fair featuring 30 co-production programs, which attracted more than 150 Chinese and foreign film producers and investors.
