The first part of the paper demonstrates divides in feminist research and theoretical dilemma in feminism in front of the global wave of consumption based on an examination of choice of love and the real cases in obtaining same sex marriage. The second part of the paper focuses on the relationship between feminist life style and consumers' culture. This paper suggests that if feminism, in the west or in China, anchors in personal choices, it would lose its historical and social relevance and become a bed only comforting a middle class woman. If there is a tendency to politicize personal choice of life style, such politics would be inactive and self centered. The paper argues that feminism is not truth, and it responds to power structures over one's situated position and is often affected by the mainstream culture. Nowadays, the America is promoting its life style in the world with force and through cultural and economic means. It becomes a challenge to international feminism of how to recognize western, European and American traditional values.
