Investigation on Women Staying at Home in Rural Areas—An Investigation from Chongqing Municipality

In several districts and counties of Chongqing municipality, the questionnaire survey and interview demonstrate that: the phenomena of feminization is serious in most of rural areas; the tendency of agricultural feminization and aging is obvious; for the women staying at home, the intensity of labor is heavy and the problem of physiology and psychology is outstanding; although some women are compelled to stay at home in the rural areas, generally speaking, they have an impulse to go out to work.
