The People's Government in northwest China's Qinghai Province introduced further policies on August 15 designed to protect women rights, as well as to enhance gender equality and child priority.

The policy newly instructs officials to appoint specialists for evaluation and implementation. Moreover, it states that committees for women and children will be in charge of coordination and contact for daily issues.

Besides, the policy clarifies the work of each department. The specialists should lay down and carry out the related local laws and policies; the work committee should enhance connections of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and local government and enact evaluation plans.

The policy also urges departments to improve evaluating standards by analyzing emerging problems faced by women and children and to solve them in a timely manner.
