Ten spouses of border policemen in south China's Jiangxi Province were conferred with the Jiangxi March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters title at an award ceremony jointly organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Border Police Force and Jiangxi Women's Federation on March 5 in commemoration of annual International Women's Day (March 8).

Vice-President of Jiangxi Women's Federation Rao Dongmei made a brief introduction of the event to select representative spouses of border policemen and gave a general overview of the federation at the ceremony. "The honored and their peers should extend assistance and support to their husbands in their work, showcase their positive images to the public, and strive for higher achievements in the promotion of social and economic growth and the construction of harmonious society," Rao added in her speech.

Spouses of local border policemen spoke about their stories, especially highlighting their persistent support to their husbands' work.

After the award ceremony, spouses of local border policemen took a tour of their husbands' camp and learned more about their daily tasks.

So far, the Jiangxi Provincial Border Police Force has hosted multiple events to engage its staff members and their spouses in the building of harmonious families and observance of traditional Chinese virtues this year.

Those in attendance of the award ceremony included Wang Weimin, caption and secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee of Jiangxi Provincial Border Police Force; Ren Yi, director of the Political Department of Jiangxi Provincial Border Police Force; and representatives of local border policemen.
