Jingmen Women's Federation (JWF) in central China's Hubei Province has been doing its best in recent years to protect women's rights, provide them with cervical and breast cancer screening services and help them out of poverty.

Free Screening for 'Two Cancers'

JWF provided women with free cervical and breast cancer screening recently. In order to benefit more impoverished women, heads of the JWF arranged the screening activity in person, helped set up chairs and desks and organized people to line up for the screening.

Protecting Women's Rights

In order to better protect women's legal rights, JWF officials always devote themselves to mediating family conflicts and providing marital counseling for couples.

JWF also expanded the Looking for the Most Beautiful Families campaign to call on more people build their own happy family and popularized the core Socialist values in order to build a civilized and harmonious society.

Carrying out Targeted Poverty-Alleviation Campaign

Since sending officials to stay and work at the Suchang Village, JWF has helped improve the infrastructure of the village, taught villagers to farm crawfish and rice alternately and encouraged them to develop various kinds of industries so as to help them out of poverty and get rich.
