Chairperson of Hubei Women's Federation Peng Limin attended a meeting on accelerating the development of domestic services in Jinan, capital city of east China's Shandong Province on March 27.
Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), also attended the meeting, during which she said that action to promote women in domestic services is one of the ACWF's most important tasks. Shen added that the ACWF must strengthen the guidance of women's work in domestic service, they must also actively seek and develop good housekeeping policies and strengthen policy research. In addition, the ACWF must also continue to abide by the law and adapt to the market economy, in accordance with the requirements of comprehensive deepening reform, and actively explore effective modes of development and public welfare services market operation. In addition, domestic services should consider the locality and the ACWF's strengths to make the brand more professional.
Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, Qiu Xiaoping, and Vice Minister of Commerce, Fang Aiqing, affirmed the domestic service network, its innovative training model and the ongoing standardization of practices. They stressed the need to introduce policies to support the development of leading enterprises, support women's organizations to build women's domestic brands, and to jointly promote the healthy development of the domestic service industries.
Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF Song Xiuyan hosted the meeting.
After the meeting, Peng led the Zhiyin Media Group, Wuhan City Women's Entrepreneurship Centre, Magnolia Home Economics Services Ltd. and Provincial Women Development to Qingdao, of eastern China's Shandong province, to investigate women's work in the city. Peng inspected several women's domestic services stations in Qingdao and talked to local women entrepreneurs.
Peng held a wrap up meeting on the way back to Jinan, after listening to everyone's experience of Qingdao. Peng pointed this visit to Qingdao helped us understanding the domestic service industry as a whole, and learn more about branding and standardized management. At present, the common problems that exist in domestic service industries are the lack of family services supply capacity, the level of development of the industry not being high enough, market players not being fully developed, the low professionalism of employee's and more. Next, we should conscientiously implement President Xi Jinping's instructions to further develop women's domestic services.
