Three model families honored in Hainan Women's Federation's Most Beautiful Families Campaign were invited to share their exemplary stories at an event in Wenchang, a city in south China's Hainan Province, on April 20.
The talk in Wenchang was jointly held by the Publicity Department of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Hainan Women's Federation with the support of local governmental bodies.
"Hainan Women's Federation has organized a campaign to look for model families for four consecutive years. In accordance with instructions from the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), the Publicity Department of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPC and Hainan Women's Federation jointly launched the campaign again earlier this month to look for more representative families, promote positive domestic education, and cultivate positive family values," announced Vice-President of Hainan Women's Federation Wu Jianping at the event.
In addition, Wu called on relevant governmental bodies to increase focus on assisting families, help local families better observe traditional Chinese virtues and core socialist values, come up with innovative approaches to promote the campaign in the future, and inspire public enthusiasm for local social and economic growth in the island province.
Li Ciming, one representative of honored families, talked with the audience about his efforts to care for his wife and maintain the integrity of his family after she was the victim of a traffic accident. Li Xin'ai discussed how she maintained a balance between her career and home-life.
Later, President of Wenchang Women's Federation Fu Haiwen, who is also a member of South China Pearl Lecture Team, introduced the background of Xing Fuhao, another honored family representative who advocates for education in rural areas and promotes traditional values.
